PalletOne was formed as a result of a series of evolutions within the pallet industry.
DATELINE   EVENTS
1996   Three leading regional pallet companies, Ridge Pallets, Fraser Industries and Interstate Pallet, join to form PalEx, Inc.
1997   PalEx completes its initial public offering and uses funds to purchase 9 other leading pallet businesses including Sheffield Lumber and Pallet (North Carolina) and New London Pallet, Inc. (Wisconsin)
1998   PalEx continues its mission to become a national pallet supplier with 6 key acquisitions including Shipshewana Pallet (Indiana), Isaacson Lumber Company (Maine), Southern Pallet (North Carolina) and Duckert Pallet Co. (Wisconsin)
1999   PalEx announces it will merge with the International Food Container Organization, a European leader of returnable plastic container pools. The new company will become IFCO Systems, a world leader in reusable material handling systems.
2000   PalEx-IFCO merger complete. IFCO acquires 3 leading pallet recycling businesses, while announcing decision to divest from new pallet manufacturing business in an effort to focus on its core business of reusable systems.
2001   The management team overseeing IFCO's pallet manufacturing division forms a privately held ownership group, called PalletOne, and purchases the 12 IFCO facilities, forming the nation's largest new pallet manufacturing company.
2002   Newly formed PalletOne acquires Spaulding Lumber Company's pallet manufacturing operation and sawmill located in Chase City, Virginia.
2006   PalletOne completes the purchase of the assets of Cahaba Valley Timber Company, a pallet manufacturing operation located in Selma, Alabama. Expanding into the treated wood industry, PalletOne also purchases Sunbelt Forest Products Corporation, a pressure treated wood and fence manufacturing operation located in Bartow, Florida.
2007   PalletOne opens a new pallet manufacturing facility in Newton, North Carolina, its fourth in the state.
2009   PalletOne opens its seventeenth pallet plant, a pallet recycling facility in Dallas, Texas, in order to expand the Company's presence in the area's large recycle market.
2011   Today PalletOne is run by much of the same experienced management team that was in place prior to the PalEx acquisition.
