PalletOne Opens New Plant In Newton, NC
Newton, NC - October 17, 2007 - Officials at America's largest new pallet manufacturing operation, PalletOne, today announced the opening of its new manufacturing plant in Newton, North Carolina. The plant will supply new pallets for the North and South Carolina Tennessee, and North Georgia markets and pallet component parts to its three existing operations in the area.
PalletOne's Newton plant is expected to employ approximately 40 people when it reaches full production next year. The company constructed 5 buildings with a total of 63,000 square feet on 17 acres. The plant is located next to G&G Lumber, a strategic raw material resource. G&G Lumber, which opened in 2006, is expected to become one of the largest, most efficient lumber producers in the state.
"We are pleased to be opening our fourth plant in North Carolina. We have created a highly automated manufacturing plant so that we may maximize production efficiencies," said PalletOne CEO and President Howe Wallace.
Nationally, PalletOne operates 17 pallet facilities in eleven states. Pallet plants are located in Selma, AL, Foreman, AR, Bartow, FL, Hazlehurst, GA, Smarr, GA, Shipshewana, IN, St. Francisville, LA, Livermore Falls, ME, Butner, NC, Mocksville, NC, Newton, NC, Siler City, NC, New Boston, TX, Chase City, VA, Waterloo, WI and New London, WI. The company also operates Sunbelt Forest Products Corporation, a leading Southeast region pressure treated wood and fence manufacturing company in Bartow, FL.
