All wooden pallets and wood containers for the government are constructed from heat treated material (HT to 56 degrees centigrade for 30 minutes) and certified accordingly by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) in accordance with non-manufactured wood packing policy and non-manufactured wood packing enforcement regulations set forth in the IPPC’s ISPM #15. On pallets, the marking is applied to the stringer or block on opposite sides and ends of the pallet and be contrasting and clearly visible. On containers, the marking is applied on a side other than the top or bottom, contrasting and clearly visible.
