Time to Start “Doing”

It’s doing not hoping that makes a difference.

It’s doing not wishing that makes a difference.

It’s doing not planning that makes a difference.

It’s doing not knowing that makes a difference.

Andy Stanley was teaching a lesson about what should happen when your life isn’t what you want it to be.

His teaching focused on “doing”. It was a pretty simple offering.

First, he said that we should stop “doing” things that we do that impede our progress. We all have things we do that don’t contribute to our best selves and our best teams. We all know what they are. He reminds us to stop.

Second, we need to start doing the things we know will contribute to our success. Thus, the statements at the beginning of this note.

So, often we hope and wish for a better situation. We will devise a plan to achieve for a better situation. But, those better situations aren’t accomplished, because we never did anything to make them come true.

You know the path to a better situation. You can do it. Get started.
