What are the sizes and specifications of Automotive Pallets?

Auto part pallets are a relatively new specification used in the US. They are designed according to the guidelines established by the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment, and they meet the following criteria:

• A footprint of 48” x 45”
• The minimum load-bearing capacity of 2,200lbs
• 4-way forklift entry with two notches on the side
• Both top and bottom deck boards must be 0.5” thick
• One .5” x 5.5” x 45” board on each end of the top of the pallet with five .5” x 3.5” x 45” boards in the middle
• Three 1.25″ x 3.5″ x 48″ stringers with partial 4-way entry notches.
• Pallets should meet ISPM-15 standards.
