NEW LONDON, WI – April 3, 2008 – PalletOne of Wisconsin was named “Supplier of The Year” in the category of Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) by Quad/Graphics and QuadTech, the hemisphere’s largest privately held commercial printer.
Greg Strehlow of Quad/Graphics said that this is the first time they have ever given an award like this to a pallet company. He said that they selected PalletOne because of its quality, service and creativity. “Any obstacle that has come up, whether it involves staging trailers or design issues, PalletOne is always prompt and professional. They listen and they come up with solutions,” Strehlow said. “There was a pallet we needed that couldn’t be built in Wisconsin and PalletOne went to its plant in Shipshewana, IN, and worked on a spec from there. That’s going the extra distance to work on solutions for us.”
Strehlow added that Quad/Graphics appreciated PalletOne’s assistance with their professional development. “Our company asks us to get out and learn things. I have attended two of the Unit Load seminars that PalletOne has sponsored with Dr. Mark White of Virginia Tech. We took concepts we learned there and put them to work redesigning pallets that cut our costs. Not every pallet company does that,” Strehlow said.
“It means a great deal to know that Quad/Graphics and QuadTech appreciate our work and appreciate how much we value them as a customer,” said PalletOne President and CEO Howe Wallace. “Our team members take great pride in their work, and it’s their commitment to quality and service that earned us this recognition.”
PalletOne’s New London, Waterloo and Shipshewana plants have been supplying pallets to the Sussex, WI, Quad/Graphics facility since 2004. The Sussex plant is the largest of Quad/Graphics’ U.S. facilities. PalletOne also services Quad/Graphics’ West Allis, WI, and Pewaukee, WI, locations.
