“There are teams that hope. There are teams that believe. There are teams that expect.” –Josh Heupel, University of Tennessee head football coach.
Teams that hope aren’t sure. They count on a little bit of luck to be successful. They wish for things to break their way. They are pleased with success but not surprised when things fall away.
Teams that believe have developed confidence. They’ve had a glimpse of what success looks and feels like. They have an idea about how to achieve results and they project that if they do it, chances are that good things will occur.
Teams that expect are tour ready. They have the discipline to present consistent results. They have high standards. They trust each other to do their jobs. They have done it repeatedly. They will do it again. That’s what they expect. It’s in the gene pool.
We expect high performance and achievement. I am proud to be on a team that “expects” success.
