“How you live your days is how you live your life.” – Annie Dillard
Your life will mount up to your daily efforts and habits. If you intend to create a life that matters, you will make the most out of most of your days.
I recognize that sentence sounds obsessive. But, it’s truthful nonetheless. When you look around and consider what they have in common, I bet the list looks something like this:
Consistent. You can count on them to be where they are supposed to be and doing what they are supposed to be doing.
Competent. They are pros at their craft. They do the extra things needed to maintain their performance and improve it.
Committed. They “commit” to meaningful relationships. They do their part to build them. Those commitments stand over time.
Building a life that matters is an everyday thing. Sure, you rest. You take a day off from time to time.
But the days where you are on time, working on your abilities, building relationships will way outnumber the days you coast.
