According to Jaspar Polak, the McKinsey model says trust grows when you add reliability to credibility.
For me, reliability starts with showing up. Every time. When expected.
But reliability builds after you arrive. Is your effort good? Is the energy and attitude you bring consistent? Do you work well on your own and deliver what you promise?
Finally, protecting the team and its confidentiality inspires. Can I share information and speak freely with you while remaining confident that candor and openness won’t be misused or abused?
Credibility is important but it is supported by reliability.
