Do Your Best

“Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of being.” – Hall of Fame Coach John Wooden

I was having lunch today with the Bartow High School softball team in my home town. They have reached the Final Four in our state tournament.

Hopefully, they will win, but three teams will lose. One winning team in the state. Everyone else is out with a loss.

If you sulk when you lose, you miss the point. I’ve won when I didn’t deserve it. I’ve lost when I’ve played my best.

Coach Wooden’s quote points to the essence of effort. Did you give it your best. Do that every time and life will take care of itself.
