I’m in Orlando today attending the Leadership Florida meeting. Leadership Florida is a group of people interested in advancing the state as a place to live and do business.
It reminds me of the benefit of breaking the routine and finding a different venue to learn something new.
Today I’ve heard several talks about sustainability and community revitalization. The purpose of the talks was to inspire those of us listening to be more creative and inspirational in the communities where we live. That might happen but it’s not the point of this note.
When I read a new book, attend a new meeting, hear a new speaker, study a new scripture, watch a new show on television, it amazes me how often something that doesn’t have anything to do with my life with you inspires me to think of something that could cause us to be better.
It happens all the time. I have an idea list ten items long.
I’ll share that some other time. But, here’s the point today:
Your family, your community, your company will gain as your creativity grows. A fundamental of creativity is adding to your pool of experiences and thoughts. Adding to that pool rests with you.
