Today is the National Day of Prayer!
It comes the first Thursday of every May and its purpose is to promote prayer – not just on this day but every day.
I am sure that among our team there is wide opinion about prayer. Some don’t think it is important. Some pray unceasingly. There is a variety in between.
As for me, I am confident that God hears our prayers and acts to help us. This morning I received a couple of e-mails where teammates have related that they have prayed for me. I am humbled and grateful for it.
President Obama acknowledged the day in this fashion:
“I invite all citizens of our Nation, as their own faith directs them, to join me in giving thanks for the many blessings we enjoy, and I call upon individuals of all faiths to pray for guidance, grace, and protection for our great Nation as we address the challenges of our time.”
Those challenges come at us from many directions and the many arenas in which we conduct our lives. For me, PalletOne is one of the biggest areas. So, if you pray daily, remember our company and the challenges we face. We need guidance, grace and protection for us too.
