In the last year have you had opportunities at work to learn and grow?
According to research about successful companies, the more of you who can say “yes” to that question, the stronger we will be.
So, when it comes to you, what would you say? What lessons have you learned? What skills have you developed? What new things have you experienced? Are you a better teammate than a year ago? How about a better spouse or parent? What have you learned about your health?
Do you have answers to these questions?
If each of you is saying the last year has been robust with change, we are in good shape.
So, stop today and make a couple of lists:
“Things I’ve Learned”
“Growth Experiences I Have Had”
Reflect on the lists. Are you satisfied with what you see? If not, what can be done about it?
Here are two things: First, make a list of things you want to learn and experiences you would like to have. Next, take the list you didn’t like, along with this new list, to your boss or coach and see if we can help.
Do it today. We will be better. You will be better.
