RESOLUTIONS – PART 5 – WHAT AM I DOING TO IMPROVE MYSELF?

Jocko Willink, a former Navy Seal who speaks and writes about leadership and discipline, asserts you will grow if you ask yourself eight questions every day and then act accordingly, based on your answers.

I will spend the next few days reviewing each question one at a time. Here’s the fifth question:

What am I doing to improve myself?

At first glance, the question on improvement seems a lot like those related to learning and progressing. But it’s a bigger question.

A plan to improve yourself has a larger scope. An improvement plan has a design and destination.

  • You build on it.
  • Your plan to improve is a constant.
  • If someone asks you about what you’re working on, you have a ready answer.

And you should be doing something to move that way. Every day!
