Start with Your Customer in Mind

Who’s counting on you today at work?

The best work is achieved when we focus on meeting the expectations of our “customer.” Everyone has a customer. You are at work to satisfy a customer. As we begin our day, it is important to take stock of who that (those) customer(s) is (are).

I have to admit that I fail that test many days. I get up and get into the routine. Grab a cup of coffee. Scroll through my e-mail. React to what comes my way.

Things change when you start with your customers in mind. Serving your customer is where value is created.

So, take some time to consider your customer. What are they counting on you to achieve? How will you satisfy them with your work today?
