I’m guessing most of us didn’t watch the Tony’s on Sunday night. Broadway isn’t our jam.
But, an American actor won an Actor of the Year Tony. What’s noteworthy is that it was his first after more than 50 years working on stage.
Andre’ De Shield’s acceptance speech was inspiring. He chose to share three rules to longevity.
- “Surround yourself with people whose eyes light up when they see you coming.”
- “Slowly is the fastest way to get to where you want to be.”
- “The top of one mountain is the bottom of the next so keep climbing.”
I liked these rules. Who you travel with is so much more important than what you accomplish.
It’s not a sprint. It’s a marathon. Don’t go so fast that you don’t get done all you can do.
The higher you climb, the more you see. The more you see, the higher you climb.
